  How it works
Adult Directions online will ask you a range of questions about your skills and interests. It is not a test and does not recommend careers, but makes suggestions based on the answers you give.
You will be asked 50 questions and can then look at the career ideas it comes up with, or go on to answer another 67 questions. Answering more questions will provide more information for a better match.

  Using Adult Directions

To get the maximum benefit and a range of career ideas try to answer the questions in a definite way - use the does not matter response sparingly.
The results will be clearer the more positive and negative responses you select.
You can change your answers to questions or enter your own ideas to see how they alter or match up with the ideas generated.
Be careful when choosing occupational levels as this will rule out certain careers. If in doubt select all occupational levels.
You can print out a list of suggested careers, detailed information on specific careers and a summary of your answers. All of these could be useful in further discussions with a nextstep adviser.

    Career Values Tool
You can also use the Career Values Tool which is an online questionnaire to help you make a career decision based on what you value in a job. It helps you to identify and priorities your values and how different careers could met these values. This can be helpful when thinking about a change of direction.
